At Meow Cat Cafe Essex LTD, our primary mission is to find loving, permanent homes for all our cats. We serve as a crucial stepping stone in their journey toward the safe and secure future they deserve.
Over the past three years, we’ve gained invaluable experience in feline care, including important lessons on illness prevention and treatment. As a result, we’ve refined our adoption program to ensure that every cat leaving us is in the best possible health.
Not all of our available cats are up for adoption at all times. To maintain their well-being, we open and close adoptions in phases. Below, you’ll find details on the cats currently looking for homes.
By managing adoptions this way, we maintain a closed colony, offering our cats a more stable and protective environment. Keeping them with us a little longer also allows us to better understand their personalities and needs, ensuring they find the perfect match.
Our dedicated adopters, who have spent significant time and effort nursing these cats back to health, will now be responsible for conducting adoption checks. It’s only fair that those who helped them on their journey have a say in choosing their forever home.
Some of the available cats are ready for direct adoption, meaning they come straight from the UAE or previous homes. In these cases, meeting the cat in advance may not be possible. However, whenever possible, we strongly encourage adopters to visit and interact with the cat first, because personality always matters more than appearance.

Spots and Karla are a bonded pair who have been through so much and deserve a loving home together. Spots’ Story: Spots was rescued from an industrial area in Dubai with his mother and siblings. Sadly, he and his mum were the only ones who survived. His mother has since been adopted in the Netherlands and is thriving. Spots grew up in foster care, where he formed a beautiful bond with Karla.
Karla’s Story: Karla was found with an eye injury, which has now fully healed. She joined the same foster home as Spots, and the two became inseparable. The pair spent some time at Meow Cat Cafe, but it became clear they’re happiest in a home environment without other cats. Moving to a foster home together has worked amazingly well, and now they're ready to find their forever family.
Their Personalities:
✨ Spots - A cheeky, food-obsessed boy who will absolutely sneak a snack if you’re not looking! He’s playful, affectionate, and guaranteed to make you laugh.
✨ Karla - A brave little climber who loves to perch up high and observe the world. She’s sweet, confident, and adores her best friend Spots. Every evening, they cuddle up together, grooming each other and settling in for the night. They are incredibly playful and would make wonderful companion cats for a household with no other pets.

Chiara was found hiding in a coffee shop in Dubai shy, cautious, but quietly curious about the world around her. After being unable to find a home locally, she made the journey to us. and has been part of the Meow Cat Café family since July 2025.

Noorie was rescued just moments before she was due to be captured by pest control in Dubai. She had been hiding on a construction site, where one kind worker had been feeding her and really taken a shine to her. Thankfully, he reached out to local rescuers, who were able to scoop her up and get her to safety.
She was spayed, vaccinated, and well cared for, but sadly no one came forward to adopt her in the UAE, as she is a Mau. Noorie has now made her way to us and is officially looking for her forever home. 
Born in July 2024, Noorie is still very young but if you’ve had the pleasure of meeting her, you’ll know she has every personality under the sun. She’s a sassy lady who absolutely loves cuddles… just on her terms. She will adore you fiercely, but if you stroke her in even the slightest wrong way, she’ll be sure to let you know she’s not impressed!

Affectionate when in the mood
Because of her confident and sometimes spicy nature, we’re looking for a home without small children and without other cats. In an environment where she is one of the only cats, her confidence truly shines and we want to avoid any chance of territorial behaviour or stress. She may be able to live with a dog, but this would be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Ciara was found abandoned on the streets of the UAE, scared and unsure of humans. Thanks to the patience and love of her rescuer, she has truly blossomed.
Now an absolute cuddle bug, Ciara adores human attention and will happily curl up on your lap whenever she gets the chance.
She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, FIV & FeLV negative, and gets on well with other cats.
